Individual Therapy
What is your style of therapy?
My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. We’ll start wherever feels right. You can bring in whatever’s on your mind, big or small, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable.
I’ll gently help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences so you can better understand yourself. We’ll also look at patterns like your needs and relationships with curiosity, not judgment.
And importantly, we won’t just talk. We’ll also focus on building practical coping tools you can use in your everyday life, so you feel more supported outside of our sessions.
How does therapy work?
1) Processing
We organize our thoughts by processing and reflecting. Therapist works as a mirror reflecting our thoughts and feelings enhancing self awareness. We will do some work together to process difficult emotions, not just venting.
2) Developing Coping Skills
As we have enhanced self awareness, we would like to learn ways to better manage emotions. Examples: problem solving, cognitive skills, mindfulness, self compassion, communication & listening skills, and setting boundaries, etc.
What are the procedures?
1) Schedule a free consultation (15 mins) to see if we are a good fit working together
2) Check with your insurance to understand your coverage (we can support you in this process if needed)
3) Fill in intake paperwork (brief info about you; no long essays)
4) Meet the first appointment
